Kalyan Post Graduate College, Bhilai Nagar was established in 1963. It was established as a night college with the main objective to provide higher education to the employees of Bhilai Steel Plant and also to cater to the need of society. It is run by Chhattisgarh Kalyan Samiti. It is one of the most prestigious colleges which has played a pioneering role in the field of higher education in Bhilai Nagar. College is affiliated to Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur (C.G.) and accredited by NAAC. An efficient management, dedicated team of faculty members and other staff play an integral role in the realization of the institutions quest for excellence in all fields.
The mission of the college is to strengthen the weaker sections of Chhattisgarh state through higher education and to empower the illiterate, ignorant, uneducated masses by educating them and by creating in them the social, political and cultural awareness. The vision of the college is to provide a unique learning experience which will enable the students to realize their potential and mould their overall personality and to make available equal opportunities and ensure support without prejudice for gender, class, caste, religion and economic status.

The college is situated in North of Steel city of Bhilai, located in Sector VII Bhilai Nagar Railway Station, Durg. The college campus is spreaded over an area of 13 acres of land, aesthetically designed building with 60 lecture rooms and most advanced & sophisticated laboratories.
