Kousali Institute of Management Studies, Dharwad institute was set up in 1976 as a University Management Department to impart quality management education, Kousali Institute of Management Studies (KIMS) has since its inception always aspired to be a B-school with a difference. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Kousali Institute of Management Studies came into being as a management department of University of Karnataka.
At present, the college imparts course in management studies, at the post graduate level. The MBA course imparted by it is a two-year full time program. Kousali Institute of Management Studies has state-of-the-art facilities within its campus, for the overall development of its students.
Campus :-
The campus of the Kousali Institute of Management Studies (KIMS) is located in the city of Dharwad in Karnataka. The campus is supported by state of the art infrastructure and modern technology. The Institute has a comprehensive library with a hybrid collection of books, journals, audio-visuals, CDs / DVDs, reports, case studies and training manuals. A vegetarian canteen where South Indian food is served at a subsidized rate is situated close to the main block.
The stadium houses a basketball court, a badminton court, a tennis court and a gymnasium. The campus has large playgrounds for outdoor games and sports. The basic shopping needs of the boarders are met by the co-operative stores which sell everything from stationery items to biscuits and soaps at reduced prices within the campus. The college provides free medical facilities to the students at the medical centre in the campus. There is a full fledged branch of the Syndicate Bank with a 24 hr ATM facility in the campus.
