L.B.S College of Engineering, Kasaragod was came into existence in 1993. Affiliated to Kannur University, it offers several technical courses at undergraduate level, along with post graduate program in computer applications. Lal Bahadur Shastry (LBS) College of Engineering is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It holds the distinction of being accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Over the years, the institute has produced numerous qualified technical professionals, who are associated with some of the finest organizations of the country.
L.B.S College of Engineering is the premier institute of Computer training and consultancy registered under the Travancore Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act XII of 1955 (Reg. No. 279 of 1976), was established by Government of Kerala in 1976 in memory of our late Prime Minister Sri. Lal Bahadur Sastri. A well-managed Group Advisory System in the College provides personalized attention to all the students. Immediately after admission to the college, each student is assigned to a Staff Advisor (Group Tutor), who would open a file for the academic and personal details of the student.
The staff advisor guides the student in his/her curricular and extra curricular activities during the period of study in the college. Parents are encouraged to periodically contact the staff advisor either in person or by phone to evaluate the progress of their wards. The Chief Tutor of each department monitors the activities of Staff Advisors in a department.
