Lalit Narayan Mishra Institute of Economic Development & Social Change, Patna is the premier management Institute of Bihar offering MBA, MCA and MHRM programes to the inspiring persons. Recognized by the AICTE, New Delhi, the Institute is functioning under the Government of Bihar and has been granted autonomous status by Magadh University, Bodh Gaya. In 1973, "Bihar Institute of Economic Development" was established to carry out research aimed at facilitating socio-economic development.
In 1975 to preserve the memory of late Sri Lalit Narayan Mishra, the then Union Railway Minister, the Institute was renamed as "Lalit Narayan Mishra Institute of Economic Development and Social Change (LNMI)" and very soon it diversified into education with courses in Office Management, Business Management, Marketing & Sales Management and Personnel Management & Industrial Relations.
