The course will provide a comprehensive understanding, analysis and interpretation of financial statements together with Managerial Practices and Technique, in the Indian legal and Corporate Environment. Certificate in Sales & Marketing The American Marketing Association defines marketing as “A set of process for creating, communicating, and delivering value to customers and for managing customer relationship in ways that benefit the organization and its stakeholders.” Simply put a market is composed of buyers and sellers, exchanging goods and services and money. Therefore a market system, includes – participants, distribution channels and relationships. This programme has been tailored for non-marketing executives who are interested in learning about marketing. Certificate in Information Security, Controls & Audit of Business Information Systems We are witnessing numerous instances of credit card details being pilfered from servers, Intellectual Property items being stolen, virulent computer viruses being unleashed, individuals being harassed through obnoxious emails and chat messages, fraudulent financial transactions siphoning away hard earned money and many more such security lapses. There is, therefore, an urgent need to inculcate Information Security awareness in all users of Information Systems, particularly the management personnel. To this end LIBA has designed a special course in collaboration with ISACA, Chennai Chapter. The course has been tailored to the needs of mgt professionals and executives and aims at creating among them awareness of the risks associated with Information Systems and the knowledge required to secure it. Certificate in Supply Chain Modelling & Analysis Supply Chain Management (SCM) centers on concepts and techniques that enable firms to better coordinate material and information flows, and non-material activities associated with logistical and marketing processes that occur within and across organizations. This course will discuss concepts and key trends in SCM. Supply chain integrates many aspects of business functions such as forecasting, inventory management, information systems, materials planning and control and customer service. Supply chains perform two distinct functions: a physical function and a market mediation function. The physical function includes transformation (manufacturing and assembly), storage, and transportation. The market mediation function, on the other hand, ensures that the products reaching the market place matches what consumers want to buy. Most OR/OM literature, under the umbrella of production and inventory control, has focused on the physical function of the supply chain. More recently, with the growing popularity of supply chain management, the market mediation function started receiving considerable attention. Moreover, the emphasis has shifted away from centralized control, where issues of competition and coordination do not arise, towards a more decentralized view of the supply chain. This course aims at focusing issues for handling such requirements in future wherein you would be provided with required inputs. Certificate in Management of Human Resources Management of human resources has attained great significance both strategically and operationally because it is the most valued asset contributing individually and collectively to the achievement of an organization’s objectives. Management of human resources is concerned with selection, appraisal, rewards and development of people in organizations which needs to be based on sound HR philosophies, strategies, policies, processes and practices. It is essentially a business–led approach to managing people within a strategic framework. It ensures resource capability of an organization in accordance with the belief that the human capital is a major source of competitive advantage and therefore ensuring that the right quality of people are available to meet present and future needs. The certificate course aims at providing a learning space to gain practical knowledge and skills to become a professional in managing human resources. Using facilitation methods, the participants will be enabled to learn through self-directed and team-oriented learning activities. Certificate in Project Management The current business environment is highly turbulent and competitive. For most businesses profits and profitability are important goals. Even Governments and not-for-profit organization (NGOs) are actively engaged in projects and programmes. Hence many companies are constantly engaged in projects. Even the very existence of some companies is in the project mode. Every manager has to deal with projects big or small, most of the time. The successful management of all aspects of Project Management has become the most important requisite for a company's survival. The Programme will enable the participants to become useful members of high performance project teams. Pedagogy / Methodology Classes are held from 10.00AM to 1.15PM on Sundays
