MAEER's MIT Institute of Design (MITID), Pune was established in 2006 under the guidance of today's leading minds of Design education in India . MIT Institute of Design is offering programs at both Graduate and Post-Graduate level. The institute is dedicated to research as a part of its training in the indigenous design which visualizes and uses training in Industrial Design and visual communication as a tool of change in order to maintain design as a tool for sustainable competitive advantage. MIT Institute of Design is located on the beautiful banks of the Mula-Mutha River at Loni-Kalbhor, Pune, and spread over a vast area of 125 acres. This picturesque area exudes peace and tranquility and seems more closer to Mother Nature in spite of being located in close proximity of the busy Pune-Solapur Highway. It can be the only place for the âSadhana', the seeking of knowledge.

Training and Placement Cell at MAEER's MIT Institute of Design
Training and placement cell provides platform for the young design learners to enter various industries, organizations and communities. The training and placement cell in co-ordination with faculty members also provides guidance to learners to make judicious choice. Placement Cell manages placement activities and relations with industrial groups and research organizations. The placement cell corresponds with the prospective recruiters, arranges pre-placement talks and workshops and provides all the facilities required by the visiting companies.

Application forms will be available in the month of November on the website. The candidate has to fill the online application form available on the website and submit a dully filled hard copy of the form at the institute address mentioned below preferably by speed post before 31st January 2016 along with a demand draft of 3000 /- in favour of "MIT ID PUNE" drawn on Pune branch as fees for Design Aptitude Test.
Admission Process For The Academic Year 2016-17
Admissions are open for the academic year 2016-17 for Fashion programmes (Admission Cycle 2)
The Institute offers following programmes in Collaboration with University for the Creative Arts (UK) The curriculum and final certification for all the fashion programmes offered are from University for the Creative Arts (UK).
APPLICATION FORM :
Application forms will be available in the month of November on the website. The candidate has to fill the online application form available on the website and submit a dully filled hard copy of the form at the institute address mentioned below preferably by speed post before 31st January 2016 along with a demand draft of Rs. 3000 /- in favour of "MIT ID PUNE" drawn on Pune branch as fees for Design Aptitude Test.
The Design Aptitude test fees can also be paid online while filling up of the form.
The incomplete application forms / not satisfying eligibility criteria will be rejected. The MITID Design Aptitude Test (MITID-DAT) fees (Rs. 3,000/-) for rejected applications will not be refunded.
No official communication will be made regarding rejected application forms.
Last date for submission of application form is 31st January 2016.
Admission is on the basis of MITID method of selection, which extends beyond the students previous academic qualifications. The MITID Admission Committee systematically seeks evidence of the perception, attitude, aptitude, achievement and motivation essential for a challenging and satisfying design career. The objective of the tests and the interviews is to ascertain the above qualities.
The admission process is in two phases :
Phase - 1: MITID-DAT (Design Aptitude Test) conducted at various centres across the country.
Design Aptitude Test (DAT) will be conducted on 3rd April 2016 (Tentative) between 10 AM to 1 PM at various test centres across India.(Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune)
MITID reserves its right to change or cancel any of these centres.
Phase - 2: Studio Test and Personal Interview at MITID campus in Pune.
The second phase of the admission procedure will consist of studio tests followed by personal interviews at Institute in Pune.
No separate call letters will be sent to the shortlisted candidates. All those candidates called for the second phase are required to attend the studio tests and interview, which completes the process of selection. The Admission Committee decides the procedures, grades and weightage every year.
