Malaviya National Institute of Technology - MNIT (Malaviya Regional Engineering College - MREC)
, Jaipur is one of the eighteen NITs established in the country by the
Government of India. Earlier this institute was known as Malaviya
Regional Engineering College. Established in 1963 as a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan, The Malaviya Regional Engineering College, Jaipur started functioning with 30 students each in Electrical Engg. and Mechanical Engg.
The college is a joint venture of the Government of India and the State Government of Rajasthan. The college was set up with the objective of providing facilities for higher education, research and training in various areas of engineering and technology. The college is well known for its excellent academic and extra-curricular st The college is under the administrative control of a Board of Governors. The college is affiliated to the University of Rajasthan. This is an Autonomous college of the University of Rajasthan. It's actively engaged in research, consultancy and development activities. Campus The college shifted to the present campus in Jaipur in 1965. Spread over 125 hectares of lush greenery, the campus of MNIT enthralls and inspires.The campus is spread over an area of 312 Acres. Central Facilities A common Library and a Computer Center are accessible to the students and staff of all departments.
