Manav Rachna International University draws its legacy from Career Institute of Technology and Management (CITM) which was established in 1997 as an Engineering College affiliated to MDU Rohtak with the approval of AICTE with an Annual Intake of 180 in three B.Tech Programs. It was first private self-financing Engineering College in District Faridabad and became one of the most preferred destination for Admission seekers in NCR in a short period.
CITM was granted Autonomous status in July 2008 by Government of Haryana. MHRD, Government of India conferred Deemed to be University status to CITM on the recommendations of UGC and AICTE in October 2008 in the name and style of Manav Rachna International University (MRIU). NZQA ACCREDITATION FOR MRIU A GLOBAL BENCHMARK - MRIU gets accredited for IT & Business Administration programmes by AIS St. Helens under New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA), an autonomous agency of Ministry of Education and Ministry of Tertiary Education, Skills & Employment, Govt. of New Zealand. NZQA will award the qualification.

NIIT, a national leader in IT training and BPO Certification Institute (BCI), a world renowned BPO / KPO certification organization associates with BCA program. NIIT shall conduct 375 hours classroom and lab sessions. The pass outs shall have the liberty to appear for BCI Global Certification Examination namely Certified Technical Support Associate (CTSA) which will enable them to get preferential placement in KPO / BPO sector.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), partners with MRIU in multi-dimensional academic value addition programs. TCS-MRIU Pragati Project Identifies 20 B.Tech - CSE / IT students in First year. TCS is the largest employer of MREI pass outs and also provides Comprehensive ERP Solution for complete automation of academic, administrative, financial and managerial activities.
Learningware, a multi-national Engineering & Technology content developers associates for providing Learning Management System to selected B.Tech programs with animations, simulations, and conceptual circuits / figures to help the students to grasp fundamentals and problem solving. Maruti Suzuki Ltd., the largest automobile manufacturer in India signs MOU with MRIU to provide support for curriculum development, student projects, feedback on performance of alumni and other academic functions. Research Promotion Group of MRIU promotes R&D activities in the University at all levels. Even B.Tech students have participated in R&D activities in large numbers.

Lahti University of Applied Sciences (LUAS), Lahti, Finland signs MOU with MRIU for a Semester Abroad Program in LUAS and associate Universities in Finland for pass outs of B.Tech - Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. Such students after successful completion of the program at Finland shall get Finnish B.Tech Degree and become eligible for work permit in Finland.
Curtin University, Perth, Australia signs MOU with MRIU for credit transfer of students enrolled in B.Tech - Civil Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering, who have the liberty to migrate to Curtin University Perth campus in third year. 100% credits earned in MRIU are transferred as such.
