Overview
University College of Engineering (UCE), Osmania University, Hydrebad was established in 1929. The UCE has the distinction of being the oldest and the biggest among the engineering colleges of the state of Andhra Pradesh. It was the 6th engineering college to be established in the whole of British India. Today it is the biggest among the campus colleges of Osmania University. The college was made autonomous in 1994. The vision of UCE is to generate and disseminate knowledge through a harmonious blending of science, engineering and technology and serve the society by developing a modern technology in students' heightened intellectual, cultural, ethical and humane sensitivities, fostering a scientific temper and promoting professional and technological expertise. Their mission is to achieve excellence in teaching and research, generate, disseminate and preserve knowledge and inculcate entrepreneurial talents and technology appreciation programs.
