Prasad V. Potluri Siddhartha Institute of Technology, Vijayawada was established in 1998. The Institute is one of the thirteen educational institutions sponsored and run by Siddhartha Academy Of General And Technical Education, Vijayawada. The members of the academy are more than 200. The office bearers of the academy are elected from among them. The members are a group of well-knit industrialists, educationists, auditors and philanthropists with a vast experience in their respective fields.
These institutions reflect their vision and foresight in the emerging disciplines of technological education. P.V.P.S.I.T, thus, has the advantage of inheriting high standards in education established by the long standing Academy. P.V.P.S.I.T was approved by All India Council Of Technical Education, and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
P.V.P.S.I.T is Located in Vijayawada, the second largest city in Andhra Pradesh. Vijayawada is the hub of educational activity in the state. There exist sixteen degree colleges, one Health University and a large number of junior colleges. In addition, all the leading computer software companies have established their training institutes in Vijayawada, which help the students to learn special computer skills via informal education. Any inquisitive student thus gets ample scope to have sound view of inter disciplinary knowledge.

In this regard, the training and placement officer visited several companies like Satyam Software, Infosys,Caritor,Virtusa,Wipro technologies, etc. The training and placement cell has taken all initiation required to facilitate the students with ready to use website addresses for acquiring a job by publishing a manual and releasing it on 27th September'04.
