Overview

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RIT), Kottayam was established in 1991 is named after the late Prime Minister Sri. Rajiv Gandhi, run by the Government of Kerala. The college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi (MG) University, Kottayam and recognized by AICTE. RIT, the sanctum of technology aims at providing high quality education for talented students from all sections of the society. The college provides a positive environment for the students to develop their potentials and to excel in all walks of life.


It has established a vast infrastructure and put together a team of dedicated teachers. The institution has thus attained a remarkable place as a technical training Institute. Government started this institution with a view of making it a center for post graduation and research studies. The main aim of the institute is to impart professional education endowed with human values to the younger generation so as to transform them to be competent and committed engineers capable of providing solutions to the global challenges in deploying technology for the service of humanity.
