Overview

Rizvi Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Mumbai was established in 1992 with a view to cater to the technical and professional requirements of the industry. To set foot in the global market, the institute tied up with Educational Institute (EI) of American Hotel and Motel Association (AH&MA) in 1996. It began with a handful of students and today the Institute boasts of strength close to the 500 mark and is highly optimistic about the future.

The objective of the institute is to provide students with knowledge and skills which form the basis for an effective approach to management in various sectors of the hospitality industry. At the operational level, to provide intensive training in all core areas and to give to the world, professionals who can compete in the global market in their specialized roles as chefs, restaurant managers, executive housekeepers & front office managers.

The institute encourages active and competitive participation in sporting and extra curricular events. Sporting Competitions include carrom, chess, table tennis, football, cricket, telematches. Other competitions include debates, elocution, quiz, What the Good Word,/Antakshari etc.

Placements at Rizvi Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology -

The Training and Placement Department organizes a number of training programs for the students with the help of in-house experts. The activities have proved exceptionally useful in shaping the career of students. Placements for the Final year students begin early September and continue till March and sometimes till May; thereby ensuring maximum advantage to the students. The Training and Placement Department facilitates on campus recruitment by giving a common platform to students seeking jobs.
