Saint Petersburg State I.P. Pavlov Medical University, Russia is one of the leading Medical Schools in Russia. The university was established in 1897 as the first Russian Medical Institute for Women. More than 60 years later, the university was known all over the world as the First Leningrad I.P. Pavlov Medical Institute. The present name, St Petersburg State I.P. Pavlov Medical University, was given to there University in 1994 by the decision of the Government of the Russian Federation.
