About SMS

Since its inception in 1995, SMS is continuously growing in recognition and respect in the industry and in the academic world alike. SMS Varanasi emphasizes on overall grooming and personality development of its students. On account of our significant contribution in various academic dimensions, we have been appreciated by various organizations at frequent intervals. The Business India Survey constantly rated SMS amongst the top B-School by elevating its rank to A+ since 2001. In this way, we became the first B-School in this part of the country to have such an honor. We initiated PGDM program approved by AICTE with HR, MARKETING AND FINANCE specialization in 1995. Thereafter we started PGDM (International Business) and PGDM (Insurance and Risk Management) programs approved by AICTE in 2006. Ahead of this, on account of corporate requirements, we initiated PGDM (Retail Management) program approved by AICTE in 2007. We are also running MCA program approved by AICTE since 1997. This program is affiliated to UP Technical university since 2001.

We have trained almost 2000 students through our PG programs, as on date. We had also nurtured more than 700 students through our MCA program. We are constantly maintaining excellent placement record, over and above 90%, since inception.

Eligilibility

PGDM, PGDM-IB, PGDM-IRM, PGDM-RM

Our two-year full-time PGDM Programmes are targeted towards aspirants having potential for success in industry and willingness to strive in era of competition. 3-Year Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) will be suitable eligibility for a prospective student.

Candidates appearing in their final examination of the Bachelor's Degree may also apply. Candidates will have to provide their passing out marksheets, at the time of final selection.

How to apply

Admission process for all the PG programs:

Admission process starts with filling up the admission form, offered by SMS Varanasi. Admissions are provided on the basis of merit among applicants. This merit is judged on the basis of percentile in CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA and followed by group discussion and personal interview. CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA Applicants need to fill SMS application form, which can be obtained from SMS campus / city office or from the Centres of Career Launcher/PT Education/IMS Learning Resources across India on payment of Rs. 1000(Cash) or by sending a DD of Rs. 1050 in favour of "School of Management Sciences" payable at Varanasi.

SMS application Forms may also be downloaded from our website and be sent duly filled along with a DD of Rs. 1000 in favour of "School of Management Sciences" payable at Varanasi.

Final Placements

We invite these organisations to visit our institute and hold on-campus interview, group discussion and personal interview. They make Pre-Placement Talk and after students opting for them, they carry out the selection process which sometimes includes group discussion and personal interview. Based on the performance, the selected students are issued placement offers. Some of the students get Pre-Placement offer immediately after their summer training. The students join the organisation on due dates after completion of the entire course and appearing in the final examination.

We are happy to note that the quality of placement has been improving continuously. However, our quest for excellence continues and we are not at all complacent.

Scholarship and Bank Finance

Attractive scholarship schemes are offered to our existing as well as new students in various PGDM programs at distinct levels.

For New Admissions

Students securing 70 percentile or above in CAT, will be entitled for scholarship upto 10% of course fee, Whereas students securing 80 percentile or above will be eligible for scholarship upto 25% of course fee.

For Semester Toppers

We have system of providing adequate scholarships towards topper of each semester.
