School of Social Work, Temple University is dedicated to societal transformations to eliminate social, political, economic injustices for poor and oppressed populations and to advancing the quality of life. They believe that social work is integral to health care, which is the part of Temple's College of Health Professions and Social Work. School of Social Work programs are fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), and include the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW), the advanced degree required for professional licensure. Temple University was established in 1884 by Dr. Russell Conwell, Temple College became Temple University in 1907 and has evolved into a comprehensive urban research and academic institution.
