Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL), Anantpur was established in 1981 as part of Sai educational institutions. It is an independent and self-governing institution which has been established by the Sri Sathya Sai central trust. The institute was recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and the University Grants Commission (UGC) & NAAC, as a Deemed University.
Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning follows the educare system which is a system of education that blends secular knowledge with spiritual knowledge. The Sri Satya Sai University promotes excellence through a system of integral education. The institute continues to be in the top bracket of Indian universities. The college adopts an education program in an environment that facilitates the students to develop a wholesome attitude to learning and a keen sense of engagement and service to the society. Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning has four campuses spread over the two states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, in South India. They are:
Prasanthi Nilayam Campus- The campus is for men and its University headquarters is located in Puttaparthi, in the district of Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. This campus offers undergraduate, professional, postgraduate programs and research programs.
Anantapur Campus- The campus is for women, it is located in the town of Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. This campus also offers undergraduate, professional, postgraduate programs and research programs.
Brindavan Campus- The campus is only for men and it is located in Kadugodi, Whitefield, an eastern suburb of the city of Bangalore. It offers undergraduate programs.
Muddenahalli Campus- The campus is for men and is located in Muddenahalli, Chickballapur, Karnataka. It offers undergraduate programs.
