St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research, Thane was established in 2008. SJIPR was inaugurated and blessed by Rt. Rev. Bishop Thomas Dabre, Bishop of Vasai Diocese on August 20, 2008. The College has commenced classes from August 22, 2008. The institute is situated within a lush green campus in a serene and quiet ambiance at the St. John Technical Education Complex located at Vevoor, Palghar (E) which comes under the Thane-rural district in Maharashtra. The educational facilities have been provided in the rural area with the mission of Serving to Educate, Educating to Serve.
The institute is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, recognized by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra and affiliated to the University of Mumbai. St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research's mission is to instruct and train youth with profound knowledge in the field of Pharmacy inculcate in them good human values and provide them opportunities to realize their full potential through a highly proficient technical education, to discover, shape, renew and promote the human intellect, while at the same time respecting the integrity of disciplined scholarship to promote interdisciplinary work through a spirit of cooperation and dialogue.
