Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur was established in 1960 and also known as Bhagalpur University, is a public university in Bhagalpur, Bihar. The school is named for famous freedom fighter Tilka Manjhi. The University has local colleges initially associated to Patna University. Its campus is around 264 acres (1.07 km2) of lush green area. The university has more than 36 teaching departments, around 24 affiliated colleges, and four research centres. The university is fully accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and courses offered by the University are approved from University Grants Commission (UGC). The University has tied with major international universities such as University of Vienna, the University of Bristol, the University of Kent, University of Lyon, University of Notre Dame, etc.
