University of Lethbridge- Calgary Campus was established in 1967 as a non denominational, coeducational provincial university incorporated under the provisions of the Universities Act of the Province of Alberta. The university is a comprehensive university founded on the principles of liberal education, where inspired teaching is emphasized within a personalized and interactive learning environment.
The University is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada, and participates with the universities and other post-secondary institutions of Alberta in a variety of cooperative programs and activities.
A significant component of the University's research is devoted to regional studies, the Results of which enhance the social and cultural well-being of the immediate community, as well as contributing to the scope of human knowledge. The public service program is designed to meet the variety of educational needs and interests evident in the community. It consists of certificate programs, non credit instruction, seminars, conferences, exhibitions, performances and workshops in the University's fields of study, offered both on campus and at off-campus centres.
The university enrols around 8,500 students from around the world which is a phenomenal growth among institutions in Canada. The university is mainly student-focused, research-intensive, and grounded in liberal education. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs in education, fine arts, health sciences, humanities, management, nursing, sciences, and social sciences, leading to academic degrees at the bachelor, masters, and doctoral levels.
The University of Lethbridge Calgary Campus is in downtown Calgary. The University of Lethbridge in Calgary is host to the Faculty of Management. The campus offers the bachelor of management undergraduate degree and management certificates.
Students can pursue any program on the Calgary Campus on a full-time or part-time basis, where the classrooms are located in Bow Valley College and administrative office space is located in Rocky Mountain Plaza. The University of Lethbridge in Calgary is alsodesigned for the working adult; those students who are working full-time or part-time during the day and want to pursue a bachelor of management degree.
