Infrastructure Management

Infrastructure Management comprises of both conceptual as well as practical problems related to infrastructure development and management. Efficient and consistent supplies of a range of basic infrastructure services such as water, telecommunications, electricity and a range of transportation services that plays a critical role in supporting growth and development of the economy.

The syllabus of Infrastructure Management is designed particularly to offer specialized training related to concepts and skills involved in the regulatory process and competition policy, and also helping the scholars understand guideline from legal, economic, social, technical and political perspectives.

Basic Eligibility

UG:

 

For admission into a under graduate program a candidate must have completed his/her higher secondary education or 10+2 from a recognized institute. The duration of the program is of 3 years.


PG:

 

For admission into a post graduate program the eligibility criteria varies depending upon the course and the college. Some might require graduates with/without MBA entrance exam scores. The duration of the program is of 2 years.


Job Prospects

Infrastructure management graduates can seek out employment in various sectors such as Construction Companies, IT companies, Urban Infrastructure Development, Infrastructure Providers, Consultants, Financial Institutions. While professionals are offered an abundance of technical opportunities, you can even get an opportunity to become a part of the construction team.

The initial pay scale ranges from Rs.25,000 to Rs.35,000 per month. Depending upon the ability and experience of the person concerned the pay scale may vary and can earn up to an average salary of Rs. 5 lakh to Rs.15 lakh per year particularly in private sector. Initially a MBA graduate can expect a salary ranging from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000 per month.
