What is All India Pre-medical/Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT)?

AIPMT is an entrance test for selection of candidates for admission to MBBS/BDS courses under 15% All India Quota seats in Government Medical/Dental colleges of India except in the States of Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.

AIPMT 2014 will be an offline pen and paper test.

What is the syllabus for AIPMT 2014?

The question paper of AIPMT 2014 shall be based on the syllabus as notified by the Medical Council of India for NEET-UG which is at Annexure-X of the information bulletin of AIPMT-2014 available on the website www.aipmt.nic.in.

What will be the pattern of AIPMT 2014?

The AIPMT 2014 consists of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using blue/black ball point pen only.

What are the duration/timings of AIPMT 2014?

The duration of AIPMT-2014 will be 03 hours from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

Which are the cities where AIPMT 2014 will be held?

The list of examination centre cities is provided at Appendix-I of the information bulletin of AIPMT-2014 available on www.aipmt.nic.in. The list is also displayed on website separately.

What is the last date of submission of application form online?

The last date for submission of form online without late fee is 31st December, 2013 and the last date for submission of form online with late fee of Rs. 1000/- is 31st January, 2014.

If a candidate for any reason not appearing or appeared in the exam, is there any provision for fee refund?

No. After submission of the application form it cannot be withdrawn. Claims for refund of application fee will not be entertained.

Is candidate from Andhra Pradesh/J&K studying in Mumbai and Domicile of Maharashtra eligible for 15% All India Quota seats?

Yes, if the candidate is not eligible to seek admission to MBBS/BDS seats in Medical/Dental Colleges in the State of Andhra Pradesh/J&K. The candidate is also required to submit affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10/- to this effect and also that he/she is not domicile of Andhra Pradesh/J&K (Format at Appendix-II of information bulletin).
