Yes. NIFT has been granted statutory status under the Act of the Parliament of India in 2006, empowering the institute to award degrees and other academic distinctions. Accordingly, NIFT awards;
- Bachelor of Design - B.Des (Fashion Design/Leather Design/AccessoryDesign/Textile Design/ Knitwear Design/Fashion Communication)
- Bachelor of Fashion Technology - B.F.Tech
- Master of Design - M.Des
- Master of Fashion Management - MFM
- Master of Fashion Technology - M.F.Tech and Ph.D.
NIFT is also a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
23 years as on 1st October, 2013. The upper age limit is relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribe/Differently Abled category. There is no upper age limit for master programs.
Yes, you can apply for multiple UG and PG programs as per your academic qualification.
Yes, you can appear in both examination schedule to be held on 9th & 23rd February, 2014. In case you have taken the test twice for the same program; the better of the two scores will be considered. However, separate applications are to be submitted for each date and/or program.

You may choose campus/course as per your merit rank and availability of the seats. The details of counseling procedure will be available on NIFT website by April 2014.
All banks offer education loans. NIFT’s has a MOU with Union Bank of India. The bank shall provide pre-sanctioned loans for candidates who qualify for the NIFT admission at low rates. You can apply as soon as you clear your entrance test.
