Yes, it is possible subject to certain conditions. The Principal of the admitting school should write to us seeking prior approval of transfer admission with the details and relevant documents of the case, so that we may advise accordingly. We don't directly correspond with students, parents or guardians in any matter, whatsoever it may be.

The School authorities may be contacted to initiate the required documentation with an application sent by the school to the Council bearing details of Name, date of birth and Index number of the year of examination.

I need to change my name in my 10th class certificate. Kindly, tell me the procedure to be followed.

Correction of the Name / Date of Birth will be examined by the Council provided the application is made, by the school, within a period of one year of the candidate passing the ICSE Examination. If applications are made for correction of name / date of birth after a lapse of one year, they will be considered where such changes have been permitted by a Court of Law. In the event of Court of Law allowing the change of name of a candidate, the same shall be carried out by the Board after obtaining relevant documents concerning change of name published in an official gazette.

If I pass in all subjects in an ICSE examination can I give a re-exam in 3 subjects?

A candidate may reappear in one or more subjects subsequent to obtaining a Pass Certificate in the Indian Certificate of Secondary Examinations. A Supplementary Pass Certificate will be awarded thereafter on the successful performance in subjects in which a re- appearance has been undertaken.
