Correction of the Name(s)/ Date of Birth are examined by the Council provided the application is made within a period of one year of passing the ICSE Examination. If applications are made for correction of name(s)/date of birth after a lapse of one year, they will be considered where such changes have been permitted by a Court of Law. In the event of Court of law allowing the change of name of a candidate, the same shall be carried out by the board after obtaining relevant documents concerning change of name published in an official gazette.

I have passed Class X Examinations from CBSE/NIOS/State Board can I get admission to Class XI of ISC?

Yes, you can get admission to Class XI of ISC however, you must have passed the Class X Examination from a recognized Examination Board in five written subjects at one and the same sitting of the external examination including English (compulsory subject) and four other written subjects accepted by the Council.

Yes, you can appear for the ISC Examination from an Examination Centre other than your Original School. For this you will have to get the Application Form meant for the purpose forwarded by the Principal of your Original School and also obtain a No Objection certificate from the Principal of your Original School stating that the Principal has no objection to your changing of Examination Centre.

I have passed Class X Examination from CBSE/NIOS/State Board after giving the Compartment Examination, can I get admission in Class XI of ISC?

No, you cannot get admission to Class XI of ISC. Please note that a candidate who has passed the Class X of another Examination Board by way of two examinations/compartmental examinations is not eligible for pursuing the + 2 courses of the ISC (12) Examination.

Yes, you have to appear for both Physics Theory and Practical Examinations.

Is there any procedure for State Board students passing Class Xth, to give Class 12th Examination privately from Council for the ISC Examinations?

The Council does not permit private candidates to take its examinations. Only regular school candidates of ISC/ICSE examination who were not awarded pass certificates are eligible to appear for ISC/ICSE examinations in the following year as CANDIDATES NOT IN REGULAR ATTENDANCE at the school.

Yes, You may apply and appear for a Supplementary Pass Certificate in one or more subjects offered by you in the ISC Examination. You may download the form "Form for students not attending School" for appearing as a Supplementary Candidate from the Council's website in the 'Downloads' section under ISC (Class XII) Forms. The last date for the receipt of forms is 15th September.
