What is the Exam Structure?

The question paper will consist of only objective type questions, which consists of Verbal Communication, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation

There will be negative marking for wrong answers, for each wrong answer will be 25% of the allotted marks will be deducted.

What is the eligibility criterion for JMET?

Eligibility criteria to apply for the programmes at the various IITs are different and upon the Management School/Department of each Institute .

Students in their final year of qualifying degree course are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, and their continuation in the programme is subject to the completion of all requirements for the qualifying degree and submission of provisional degree certificate on or before the date stipulated by the admitting Institute.

How can you change the choice of test city?

The first choice of test city opted by the candidate in JMET 2010 application form will appear on the admit card. A request for change of the first choice of test city may be considered only if a request letter stating the reasons for the change along with a demand draft of Rs.400.00 per change reaches the Chairman, GATE, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, before 31st October 2009.

When will the JMET results be available?

JMET 2010 results will be announced on January 4, 2010 at 1000 hours at GATE offices of IISc/IITs. It will also be available on the websites of IISc/IITs. The JMET website will provide the JMET scores to both qualified and non-qualified candidates.

JMET 2010 score is valid for one year from the date of announcement of the results.
