Biomedical Engineering

Biomedical Engineering is the study of engineering principles and techniques that is applied in the medical field to develop new procedures or to conduct research, required to solve clinical problems. Artificial organs like kidneys, pacemakers, surgical devices like magnetic resonance imaging machine, laser system for eyes etc. are the innovations of this branch of engineering. The pristine course is forged in such a way so as to help a student carve out a career in the Bio-Medical world along with the influence of others streams such as the Bio-Technology as well as the Bio-Mechanics, which are fairly new in India. The field has gathered momentum with the advent of sophisticated medical technologies and career opportunities promises to be quite sumptuous.
