M.Tech Power Systems Engineering , is a sub field of engineering that deals with the generation, transmission and distribution of electric power as well as the electrical devices connected to such systems including generators, motors and transformers. Students who have cleared GATE Exam are eligible to take up this course and should have completed Graduation in Mechanical Engineering.The courses studied under this degree are Power Transmission Systems Power System Analysis and Operation ,Power Systems Transients and Protection Power System Dynamics and Control,Power system reliability,Energy Management,Power system dynamaics etc

Basic Eligibility

 

The eligibility criteria for pursuing a master’s degree are holding a bachelor's degree in (B.E/B.Tech) or any other equivalent branches of engineering. The duration for the course is 2 years.

Whereas in government sector there are specific pay scales for of the various state and central governments although with small variations from state to state. M.Tech degree holders from reputed colleges can earn handsome salary.
