The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2015 (GATE 2015) aspirants, who have an enrollment ID, can complete the application submission process and the payments till 11.55 pm today, that is, Monday, October 20, 2014. After October 20, neither online application can be submitted, nor any payment be made.
After the candidates make the payment once, they have to allow some time for the payment to appear in the GATE application. As per the website, more than one payment made by the candidates, if any, will be refunded starting from Tuesday, October 21, 2014 (after the last date of payment and application submission).
Candidates need to visit the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website for Enrolment, Application Filling and Application Submission. Candidates need to note that the payments have to be made through debit/ATM cards, credit cards or internet banking and e-challan only.
The GATE 2015 registrations had started from Monday, September 1, 2014. The deadline for the online registration process was extended from Wednesday, October 1 to 11.55 pm on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, after which no new enrollment ID could be generated. The deadline was extended due to the flood situation in the areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
GATE 2015 will be conducted during forenoon (9 am to 12 noon) and afternoon (2 pm to 5 pm) sessions on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), from Saturday, January 31 to Saturday, February 14, 2015. The Results are expected on Thursday, March 12, 2015. The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) is the organizing institute of GATE 2015.
Admission to postgraduate (PG) courses (Masters’ and Doctoral) with the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and other government Scholarships or assistantships in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science will be open to candidates who qualify in GATE 2015. GATE 2015 will be conducted online. Validity of GATE 2015 score will be for a period of three years from the date of announcement of Results.
