The online registration process of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2015 (GATE 2015) will close at 11.55 pm today, that is, Tuesday, October 14, 2014, after which no new enrollment ID can be generated. The deadline was extended from the previously scheduled Wednesday, October 1, 2014, due to the flood situation in the areas of Jammu and Kashmir. The registrations had started from Monday, September 1, 2014.
Important: Candidates with an enrollment ID can complete the application submission process and the payment till 11.55 pm on Friday, October 17, 2014. After October 17, neither online application can be submitted, nor any payment be made.
Candidates need to visit the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website for Enrolment, Application Filling and Application Submission.
After the candidates make the payment once, they have to allow some time for the payment to appear in the GATE application. Extra payment made by the candidates, if any, will be refunded after Tuesday, October 14, 2014 (after the last date of application submission).
The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) is the organizing institute of GATE 2015. The examination will be conducted during forenoon (9 am to 12 noon) and afternoon (2 pm to 5 pm) sessions on weekends (Saturday and Sunday), that is, on Saturday, January 31, Sunday, February 1, Saturday, February 7, Sunday, February 8 and Saturday, February 14, 2015. Some of the papers will be held in multiple sessions. The Results are expected on Thursday, March 12, 2015.
The scores of GATE 2015 will not only be a gateway for admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISc Bangalore), the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), etc., several Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) will also offer placements based on GATE 2015 scores.
