The six newer Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are expected to re-issue their final admission lists of the two-year full-time Post Graduate Program (PGP) for the 2014-16 academic session on Friday, May 23, 2014, as per a notification from IIM Trichy. This is because IIM Kozhikode was unable to submit the scores of a number of candidates due to technical issues.
According to sources, due to the technical error some of the names of the candidates are missing in the final admission list, although they appear on the main list. Individual IIMs and candidates have contacted IIM Trichy in the matter, which is the admission coordinator of the six new IIMs of Kashipur, Trichy, Udaipur, Rohtak, Raipur and Ranchi this year. An investigation is in progress currently, as per requests from candidates about error messages at the relevant websites. More than 100 candidates are expected to be affected due to this glitch.
The Results of the Common Admission Test 2013 (CAT 2013), which is one of the most prestigious examinations in India for admission into the IIMs as well as other premier management institutes, were declared on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. CAT 2013 was conducted from Wednesday, October 16 to Monday, November 11, 2013.
The new IIMs conducted a combined Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) process termed “Common Admission Process” (CAP) this year, coordinated by IIM Trichy. Most of the IIMs have already released the final admission lists of their PGPs for the 2014-16 academic session.
