The final Offer/Wait List of the two-year full-time Post Graduate Program (PGP) for the 2014-16 academic session, to be offered by the premier Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) has been released by the institute. To access the list, please click here.

The number of seats on offer for PGP 2014-16 at IIM Bangalore is 400. The first short-list was drawn on the basis of candidates scoring minimum section-wise and aggregate percentile scores in the Common Admission Test 2013 (CAT 2013), the Results of which were announced on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. Previous academic record was another criterion for selection. Professional experience of around two to three years is an added advantage, although it is not a mandatory criterion. Subsequent processing was made for candidates from the first list only. Candidates who were shortlisted had to appear for a Written Analysis and Personal Interview (WA-PI). The final list for admission was drawn on the basis of the CAT 2013 scores, previous academic records, professional experience (if any), performance in WA-PI and the reference letters provided by the candidates.
CAT is one of the most prestigious examinations in India for admission into the IIMs as well as other premier management institutes. It was conducted from Wednesday, October 16 to Monday, November 11, 2013.
The PGP is the flagship program of IIM Bangalore. The institute awards students graduating from the PGP a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), which is equivalent to an MBA degree offered by universities. The program lays the foundation for conceptual and analytical reasoning and gives students an insight into the dynamics of business environment. It is designed to help students acquire the skills and capabilities that will enable them reach responsible global positions in management. The program lasts six trimesters, spread over two years, with a summer project in between the two years.
The first year students are exposed to basic concepts in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Personnel Management and Human Resources Management, Quantitative Methods, Operations and Behavioral Sciences. In the second year, students specialize in functional areas of their interest.
