Published On: 20 Aug 2014 | Last Updated On: 20 Aug 2014

The selection of candidates for admission to the 2015-17 batch of the Postgraduate Program in Management-Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGP-PGDM) at the premier Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) is a two-step process.

IIM Calcutta PGP-PGDM admission criteria and selection process (2015-17) -

Step 1: Short-listing of candidates for Personal Interview (PI) - Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the Common Admission Test 2014 (CAT 2014) scores and previous academic performance, provided they get the minimum section-wise and overall percentile in CAT 2014 as mentioned in the table below.

Candidates in each category securing the above percentile in CAT 2014 will only be considered for calculation of their Composite Score. However, the actual cut-offs for generation of short list for each category for PI will depend on Composite Score calculated, section-wise and overall percentile in CAT 2014, which may be much higher than the above mentioned minimum cut-offs.

The Composite Score is calculated on the basis of CAT score, Class X and Class XII aggregate percentages as well as gender diversity factors.

For computing the percentage of marks obtained in Class X and Class XII, the aggregate marks of all the subjects that appear in the mark sheet/grade sheet will be considered. Please click here for the method.

A candidate’s Composite Score is calculated based on the table below. A cut-off of Composite Score is used for short-listing the number of candidates for PI stage in each category. The number of candidates short-listed for PI stage would be the discretion of the institute and would depend on the batch size of 2015-17.
