Finally, the long wait for JEE Main 2017 aspirants is over now! The admit card for Joint Entrance Examination Main 2017 (JEE Main 2017) has been released today, Tuesday, March 14, 2017 by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The admit card will contain candidates Name, Paper, Date of Birth, Gender, Test Centre Name, City, State Code of Eligibility and Category which needs to be examined carefully by the candidates.

Click here to download the admit card. The admit card is issued provisionally to the candidate subject to his/her satisfying the eligibility conditions. A candidate who does not possess the admit card issued by the board shall not be permitted for the examination.

Candidates should also note that no weightage will be given for the marks obtained in Class XII examination while calculationg JEE Main ranks. In addition to qualify forIITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs, candidates must obtain a minimum of 75% in the board examination (65% for SC/ST students).

JEE (Main) paper I and paper II offline will be held on Sunday, April 02, 2017 and online paper I will be held on Saturday, April 08, 2017 and Sunday, April 09, 2017 across 114 centers in India and Abroad. JEE Main is conducted every year for taking admission to Bachelor of Engineering (B.E), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) and Bachelor of Planning (B.Plan) programs at NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical institutions, institutions funded by several participating state governments, and several other institutions for the session 2017.

Structure of JEE (Main) 2017:

JEE (Main)–2017 shall have two papers, paper-1 (B.E/ B. Tech.) and paper-2 (B. Arch B.Planning). The Paper-1 will be conducted in two separate modes i.e. Offline (Pen and Paper Based Examination) mode and Online (Computer Based Examination) mode. Paper-2 will be conducted only in Pen and Paper based examination. Candidates will be given the option to opt for either Pen and Paper Based or Computer Based examination modes for Paper-1 only.

The score and rank of Paper-I of JEE (Main) – 2017 for all candidates will be declared by April 27, 2017. Based on the performance in Paper 1 (B.E/B. Tech.) of JEE (Main)-2017, top 220000 candidates (including all categories) will be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced)-2017.
