About JEMAT 2017

Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT) is conducted by West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), Kolkata for taking admissions into Master of Business Administration (MBA) / MHA/ AICTE approved PG Diploma programs offered by the management institutions of the state (both government and private) for the session 2016. In West Bengal there are about 35 well known management institutes. Many candidates across West Bengal take this JEMAT entrance exam to get into these management institutes. Candidates are chosen based on their score in JEMAT entrance exam. After clearing the JEMAT entrance exam candidates have to attend the group discussion and interview. WBUT JEMAT 2017 is expected to be held in the month of August, 2017.

Eligibility Criteria for JEMAT 2017:

  • The minimum qualification for admission to MBA/MHA/AICTE approved PG Diploma programs is a bachelor’s degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Engineering/ Technology/ Medical/ Dental/ Agriculture or other professional courses from recognized universities.
  • The candidates who will appear in final examination (graduation) to be held in 2016 may apply.

The JEMAT written test will be of objective type of 2 hours duration as detailed below:

General English 40 Marks
Mathematics 40 Marks

The Joint Entrance Management Admission Test also known as JEMAT is a management entrance exam which is conducted by West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), Kolkata. The test is held to take admission into post graduate degrees programs under various management institutes. Candidates are selected based on their performance in the entrance exam.

Eligibility Criteria for JEMAT 2017:

  • Candidates must have a bachelors degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture, Engineering, Technology, Dental, Medical or other professional courses from recognized universities.
  • Candidates waiting for their 2017 Results can also apply.
  • A candidate can apply for JEMAT 2016 only after satisfying the above mentioned eligibility criteria. However, candidates will be short listed based on the group discussion and an interview. The selected candidates will then be eligible to get into top 35 management institutes.

How to Apply

Joint Entrance Management Admission Test (JEMAT) is an entrance test organized by the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), Kolkata. The test is conducted to take admissions into post graduate programs offered by numerous management institutes. A lot of students from West Bengal appear for this test to get admissions in 35 top management institutions. The institutes select the candidates on the basis of their performance in the test. After qualifying the JEMAT entrance exam candidates will be shortlisted based on the group discussion and interview. How to Apply for JEMAT 2017:

  • The application form may be downloaded from the websites www.wbut.ac.in and www.wbut.net
  • Completed application forms are to be submitted to the University office.
  • Written examination fees are Rs. 800 for general category and Rs. 400 for SC/ST/OBC candidates (without late fine) while the corresponding fees are Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 respectively (with late fine).
  • The fees are to be paid in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favor of West Bengal University of Technology payable at Kolkata.
  • Attested copies of mark sheets, certificates and other testimonials as well as SC/ST/OBC certificates should be submitted with the application form.

    • English
    • Mathematics
    • Logic reasoning
  • Section I and II consists of 40 marks and section III consists of 20 marks of questions. The total marks is 100.
