Karnataka Mathematical Aptitude Test (KMAT) is an entrance examination conducted for taking admission to postgraduate professional courses offered at the participating colleges in Karnataka. The KMAT is conducted by the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges’ Association (KPPGCA) every year. Based on the scores the candidates obtain in this examination, admission will be given to them to Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Masters of Computer Applications (MCA) in the various participating colleges in Karnataka.
Eligibility Criteria for KMAT 2016:
Entry requirements into professional courses in Karnataka are strictly followed as per the UGC guidelines.
- For MBA/PGDM Programs: Candidates must have bachelors degree/ masters degree examination of any recognised education body in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/ Technology or equivalent, and have secured at least 50% of marks in the aggregate 40% for SC/ST candidate. Candidates in their final year of bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply.
- For MCA Program: Candidates must have bachelor's degree with 50% marks. Candidates should have studied Maths at 10+2 stage or at graduation level.
