Questions like How are you doing? Have you ever been to the respective country before? Why do you want to study in the respective country? Why did you select this particular university? Which are the other universities you have applied to? For which course you are going? Why did you choose this course? Why don’t you do this course here in India? What is your undergraduate GPA? Where do you plan to stay in the respective country? What’s the difference you can make by doing your course in the respective country? What do you plan to do during your vacations? Why do you think the university is giving scholarship to you? The Consulate has full authority to evaluate and request more documents than those submitted by the applicant. Answer : "Hi Kirtika, Thanks for writing to Minglebox.com The eligibility criteria for pursuing MBA in UK is 3-year graduation from any recognized university. Several universities require the applicant to have an honors degree, while others insist on a first-class degree from any one of the leading universities in India. Most MBA programs in the UK require work experience. MBA programs accredited by the AMBA require work experience of up to 3 years. Several universities recommend that you take the GMAT. They accept the scores as part of the application. However, it’s not a pre-requisite for most business schools in the UK. As a result, only students aspiring to join top schools such as Manchester Business School or London Business School are required to worry about their GMAT scores. Applicants are required by almost every university in the UK to take either the IELTS or TOEFL for joining the MBA program they offer. Even those from English medium schools are required to take the exam. The documents required for applying to the MBA program in a UK university are: Academic Records – mark sheets and transcripts,Test score reports,Resume, Recommendation letter,Statement of purpose/application essays. Refer here for more information regarding MBA in UK http://www.minglebox.com/article/studyabroad/mba-in-uk?type=mbaabroad Refer here for top UK Universities - http://www.minglebox.com/studyabroad/top-studyabroad-colleges/qsranking The Statement of Purpose is the single most important part of your application that will tell the admissions committee who you are, what has influenced your career path so far, your professional interests and where you plan to go from here. Statement of Purpose: The statement should outline your: Reasons for graduate study, - Special interests in the research area, - Background preparation. The SoP is your chance to talk directly to the admissions committee, to make yourself stand out from among a multitude of similarly qualified candidates, to convince the committee that you have the spark, the thirst for knowledge that could add value to your class. The personal essays, and/or statement of purpose, play a very important role in the process of evaluating your application for both admission as well as financial aid because it gives the faculty assessing your application their most significant impression of you as an individual. Answer : "Hi Abhishek, Thanks for writing to Minglebox.com The Engineering courses at Cambridge normally last four years and lead to the degrees BA(Hons) and MEng (Cambridge has no BSc or BEng degrees; all undergraduates in whatever subject take the BA). The department of Engineering offers Turbomachinery, energy and fluid mechanics, Electrical engineering, Mechanics, materials and design, Civil engineering, Manufacturing and management and Information engineering To study Engineering at Cambridge you need to be accepted by a College. The University's Undergraduate Prospectus is the best starting point for details about how to apply. Your school or college should have a reference copy and the information is also on the University's website. You must apply well in advance; most students apply at the end of their first year in the sixth form. If you wish to take a year out between school and university (in industry for example) you can still apply at the end of your first year in the sixth form and ask for deferred entry. In this case you may also apply after taking your A Levels. Applications must be made by mid-October. All decisions on applications to Cambridge are made by the end of the following January. It should be noted that almost all entrants to the Department have three A or A* grades. The essential A Level subjects for entry to the Engineering course are Mathematics and Physics, and a third A Level in a relevant (to Engineering) subject is highly desirable. Colleges will accept the Advanced Diplomas (Level 3) in Engineering or Manufacturing & Product Design for entry, provided applicants also obtain both an A Level in Physics and the Level 3 Certificate in Mathematics for Engineering. These qualifications can be presented as the Additional Specialist Learning component of the Diploma.
