SDM College of Engineering & Technology, Dharwad , Karnataka totally managed by Sri. Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Educational Society, Ujire (D.K) Regd. under the leadership of Revered Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Shrikshetra, Dharmasthala, as its President. Over the years, the society has created in excess of FIFTY different establishments and organisations devoted to service of mankind in several parts of Karnataka and continue to engage and grow in this nobel activity.

The College which was established in December 1979 with only 3 Under Graduate Programs [ i) Civi Engineering ii) Mechanical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering] has today 10 academic departments to its credit. The college has obtained accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation [NBA] New Delhi, for all its 7 B.E Programs operated today.

Infrastructure:-

The SDM College of Engineering and Technology has a beautiful campus with spacious and ventilated class rooms. Each department or branch has its own equipped laboratories required under curriculum. Also every department has its own computer centre apart from centralised one. The Library has books and journals on various subjects taught in the college. There is an auditorium to conduct cultural and other events. The college has a play ground in front of boy's hostel. There is a canteen to cater students and staff.There is a post office within campus.

The college has extension counter of Karnataka Bank in the campus to serve banking requirements of students and staff. Also co-operative stores is in the vicinity to meet daily needs of students.
