Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Mumbai is a premiere private
institute offering education to a vast number of students. DBIT, as it
is better known was established in the year 2001. Situated in Kurla in
West Mumbai, the college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai.
The Library has over 10,000 books, 59 print Journals of which having 31 are of International and 28 National scopes and online editions as well. DBIT has spacious state-of-the-art laboratories. Here the students get hands on practice. They are exposed to the latest technology and are encouraged to explore new ideas under the guidance of experienced staff. DBIT also provides numerous computing facilities for its students, faculty and staff. The College has a distributed computing environment to provide high speed connection to appropriate services and Internet through a number of high performance local area networks (LAN). Games like Carrom, Table-Tennis, Chess, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Cricket, Tennis etc. and a well-equipped Gymnasium are provided for. It has an active placement cell. In the year 2005, the college ranked 84th amongst the Top technical colleges in India in a survey conducted by Dataquest-IDC-NASSCOM. Facilities:-
Placement:- The Placement Office handles all aspects of campus placements for the graduating students at DBIT. Arrangements for Pre-Placement Talks, Written Tests, Interviews and Group Discussions etc. are all handled by the staff at the placement office.
