K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering, abbreviated as KJSCE, was established in 1983 at Somaiya Vidyavihar. It has the departments of Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering. KJSCE is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. It is one of the premier engineering institutes in Maharashtra. Apart from its sprawling campus, the institution has for long attracted lucrative placement packages for its students.
KJSCE was the first engineering college in Maharashtra to get accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation (New Delhi) in 1997. Campus:- To cater to such a humongous need, we also have a sprawling campus over 60 acres, in Vidyavihar, in the heart of Mumbai. KJSCE offers Bachelor of Engineering course in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering and Information Technology. This campus also houses many institutions with a variety of courses offered, right from Yoga classes to foreign language education. This gives the students a unique opportunity to hone their personality. Placement:- K J Somaiya College of Engineering has Corporate Relations & Placement Cell dedicated for strengthening the interaction between Institute and Industry. The cell is coordinated by a senior faculty, who will be supported by one faculty member from each of the department. The students also actively participate in the activities as volunteers. The basic purpose of this cell is to involve industry's inputs in the form of expert lectures, short-term training for faculty members/ students, projects, laboratory development, sponsoring technical non technical events etc. Course offered:- BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY DEGREE COURSES - Duration 4 years
