The Sri Venkateswara
University College of Engineering, a constituent college of Sri
Venkateswara University, Tirupati, was established in the year 1959,
with an intake of 40 in each of the conventional disciplines of Civil,
Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering, leading to the Degree of Bachelor
of Engineering (B.E.). Subsequently new disciplines and courses have been
introduced both at undergraduate and post-graduate levels, in tune with
the changing needs and scenario in the field of technical education. At
present, the college offers 4-year B.Tech. Degree courses in six
disciplines, and 2-year post-graduate courses with ten different
specializations with a total intake of 220 in B.Tech. Programmes and
70 in post-graduate programmes.
Facilities:-
Placement:- The placement cell of S V U College of Engineering is active since 1992. The cell is presently headed by Prof K Nagendra Prasad, Dept. of Civil Engineering. The placement cell arranges campus interviews for the out going students of B.Tech., and M.Tech. programmes. Reputed software companies and industrial units are picking up our students offering attractive emoluments. More than 800 students are benefited through this placement activity till now.
