Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology (SSIT) is one of the premier institutions started in the year 1979 with Civil & Mechanical Engineering by Sri Siddhartha Education Society (SSES), Tumkur. Since then, it has grown with time. At present, the institution runs 9 under graduate courses in Bachelor of Engineering (BE), in addition it also offers post graduation programs in Master of Computer Application (MCA) and Master of Technology (M.Tech) with an annual intake of about 595 students.
SSIT is located in Tumkur, Karnataka which at a distance of about 73 km from Banglore on NH-4 . It has salubrious climate similar to that of Banglore. The district is famous for many historical and tourist places. Infrastructure:-
Placement:- The placement cell in our institute is taking care of in-plant training, apprentice training along with placement activities & is headed by a well experienced Placement and Training Officer to Assist the students in career guidance, placement and to liasion with Business Institutions and Industries. It helps the students to develop contacts with the companies, while undergoing on the job training and doing their project work and for final placement in reputed industries and organization. Leading companies, including multinationals, visit the campus and select the students when they are studying in the 7th and 8th semester of BE in 5th and 6th semester for MCA and 3rd and 4th Semester for MBA. Training is given to student in taking aptitude tests and technical tests. Mock Interview and Mock Group Discussions are conducted to train the students to perform well in campus selections. Personality development programmes and Entrepreneurship Development programmes are conducted using the Services of experts from in the outside the college.
