The IIM-A (Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad) kicked off its cohort-based summer placement process of on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 which will be conducted in 4 clusters. Large numbers of management students were picked up by the consulting firms on Day-1. Cluster 1 witnessed firms such as investments management, international investment banks and global strategy consultingfirms.
Over 25 companies including Morgan Stanley, Barclays Capital, Accenture, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), McKinsey & Co, Royal Bank of Scotland, Goldman Sachs, Barclays Capital visited the campus for hiring interns. Maximum numbers of intern were hired by consulting firms this year.
BCG emerged as the biggest recruiter in Cluster 1 by hiring 14 interns. Consulting companies extended large number of offers in general followed by Accenture and McKinsey recruiting in double digits. Financial sector companies also recruited interns aggressively. Royal Bank of Scotland extended offers to the students for various profiles.
