It was something different and yet encouraging to see differently abled candidates appearing for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2010. The differently-abled CAT 2010 candidates belong to various categories, including those who have hearing impairment, locomotive disability, low vision or visual impairment and cerebral palsy, to name a few.

Mr. Soumitra Roy, MD, Prometric India said,"A total of 640 candidates have registered as Differently-Abled (DA) candidates. Of these, 69 requested support from us and have been scheduled to test on 9 November in selected venues where specific arrangements have been made. These include provision of magnifying screen, adequate accommodation for candidates with scribes, and manpower to assist wheelchair candidates. DA candidates requiring use of hearing aid and reader will need to bring their own assistive devices as previously approved. The remaining 571 DA candidates who do not require support have scheduled their own testing dates like all other candidates."
