IIM-B concludes final placements for 2013 batch

Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore, concluded its final placement process for 2013.  Participant companies exceeded 150 and offered 415 posts for 381 students. 97 students from the graduating batch managed to receive pre-placement offers while 98 offers were provided to the students having work experience of more than 22 months during the lateral placement.  

International placements were offered to 21 students by several firms from global corners while entrepreneurial ventures were offered to seven students. Banks like Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Citibank and Bank of America took part in the last day of the placement.

The first day participants were Avendus Capital and New York based hedge fund and Agra Investment. Hiring was also made by consulting firms Greenwich and Roland, Berger Blackstone Group (London) and Premier Private Equity firm.

The Boston Consulting Group scored to be the top recruiter of this year by making 12 offers in the consulting domain. While other consulting majors like AT Kearney, McKinsey, Bain and Boom found acceptance from 34 students.

Other top recruiters were L’Oreal and Nokia, GlaxoSmithKline, Asian Paints Nestle, HUL, Kraft foods. Microsoft and Amazon offered 8 and 11 placements respectively. It recruiters like Capgemini, Genpact, IBM, Cognizant and Glopore IMS were also present.
