India is emerging as a new learning hub for international business schools. Leading management institutes such as Stanford Graduate School of Business, MIT Sloan School of Management, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Business School are heading to India for learning more about the growing economy and business trends.
Most of the times India is taken as an example for developing markets in the US. This has encouraged US students to come to India to know about its culture, business and economy.
To cater to the interest of students, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) introduced AITI (Accelerated Information Technology Initiative) in India. Shailesh J Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay co-hosted the program in which MIT’s mobile technology start-up incubator was launched.
The program provided a common platform to a group of multidisciplinary students from MIT to understand about the requirements of local communities in the mobile technology area. It gave the International students an opportunity to impart knowledge about development skills in India and in exchange get to learn about the demands of Indian market.
