JBIMS Mumbai Concludes Summer Placements for Batch 2012-2014

Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai has successfully concluded its summer placement for the class of 2012-2014 with a minimum stipend amount of Rs 91,000 and a maximum stipend amount of Rs. 2, 00,000.  This year JBIMS witnessed around 83 firms extending internship offers to 120 students. BFSI and IB sector hired 33%, FMCG - 28%, consulting and IT-18%, business conglomerates - 16% and other sectors picked up balance 5% students from the class of 2012-2014.

BFSI and IB Sector:

Around 33% of the batch was offered roles in the BFSI and IB sector. The major recruiters from BFSI sector are Standard Chartered Bank, ICICI Bank, J P Morgan Chase, HSBC, J M Financial, ICICI Prudential AMC, L&T Finance, Citibank, Avista Advisory and others. Apart from this, investment banking companies also offered front end roles to the students.

FMCG Sector:

Around 28% of the batch was offered roles in the FMCG majors such as P&G, Colgate-Palmolive, HUL, GSK Consumer Healthcare, Dabur and ITC recommended attractive roles in the sales and marketing firms. They also saw a strong inclination towards the medical and pharma industry this year are Abbott, MSD Pharma, Sanofi, J&J Pharma, Medtronic and Novarti.

Conglomerates Sector:

Over 16% offers were made in the business conglomerates sector and the profiles across multiple domains were offered as a part of the summer internship process are Reliance Industries, DCM Shriram, Raymond, Mahindra & Mahindra and L&T.

Consulting and IT Sector:

Around 18% of the batch received offers for Consulting and IT Sector by HCL, TCS, Jones Lang Lasalle, KPMG, Capgemini and Michael Page International, among others.  The real estate, chemical and manufacturing domain saw the participation of such companies as Cummins, AkzoNobel, Bajaj Auto, Godrej & Boyce and Skoda.

Other Sectors:

Around 5 % of the batch has chosen to intern in other sector such as Media and telecom and received offers from companies like ShopClues, Dassault Systemes, Mattel Toys, Ginger Hotels and Omnitech.
