INNOVATIONS AT IFIM FOR OVERALL DEVELOPMENT OF IT'S STUDENTS
i) The 6-month Industry Internship Program (IIP): one of the very unique features of IFIM is a robust and concentrated initiative to ensure that our graduates are attuned to the needs of industry. This structured opportunity presented to the students, deepens his/her understanding & appreciation of concepts and/or hands-on experience in an industry and/ or research into an area of specialization. IIP also helps in developing deep domain knowledge and skills, the ability to integrate theory & application, understand business applications & perspectives and achieve seamless integration with customers. Most often these IIPs get converted in to placements for IFIM students.
ii) Center for Excellence and Personality Development (CPD): The Purpose why the Center for Excellence and Personality Development exists is to empower each and everyone at IFIM to excel in their lives and fulfill their career and professional objectives and to develop Leadership.
CPD compliments well with the Business Skills that the PGDM curriculum offers. CPD encourages all round holistic development of every individual and hence enhances his or her core competencies. CPD focuses on every individual's Communication Skills, Work-Place Skills and Life Skills and use various pedagogy from instructor led training, e learning, outbound learning, project based learning to experiential learning. In the process, we bridge the gap between the current situation and what is required for each and everyone at IFIM to fulfill on his or her personal and professional objectives.

iii) CENTRE FOR RESEARCH (CFR): The vision of CFR, as a centre of excellence, is to enable and support Institute of Finance & International Management to
- Carry out academic & applied management research.
- Foster a culture of in-house research amongst the faculty and students and thus support the academic curriculum with case studies, empirical data and refreshing perspectives.
- Create a platform for exchange of ideas between academia-academia and academia-industry. And
- Share & disseminate specific findings, research outcomes, information and knowledge both with the academic fraternity and corporate practitioners.
FOCUS,the management journal, being brought out by CFR at IFIM facilitates effective dissemination of information with regard to various management issues and problem solving methodology relevant for practicing executives as well as for academicians working in the field of management.
iv) CENTRE FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP (CFE): CFE, in partnership with The National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN), encourages, incubates and facilitates the spirit of global enterprise amongst aspiring graduates of IFIM and potential entrepreneurs. Its mission is to enhance the business - risk appetite of the student community by imparting knowledge on tools and techniques that will enable them to calculate the impact of such risks and build mitigation strategies for the purpose of wealth creation for all stakeholders.CFE incorporates Adventurer (a student's e-cell), Incubation and Research Centre's, with a focus to hone the students into entrepreneurial managers.
IFIM also has a unique and innovative field level community based learning program entitled Corporate Social Responsibility Project ( CSR). This program has been institutionalized through the CSR Centre. The centre aims at building awareness and sensitizing students to various issues faced by the social castor and find ways to enhance human, social and natural capital. This experience grooms our students to emerge as emotionally intelligent managers. Under this initiative IFIM collaborate on a continuing basis with CRY, Ants Consulting and Janaagraha, with whom MOUs have been signed, as well as with other NGOs in and around Bangalore, to provide students with the projects.
v) International Study Program (ISP): IFIM Business School has inked several MOUs with leading Global Networks. Under the terms of the proposed MOu, the Global Network will plan , schedule and organize an ISP to a specific country. Under this program our students have visited Germany, China, Vietnam, France, Singapore, Malaysia ETC. The ISP presents a whole spectrum of Academic, Research and Internship opportunities- from developing cross cultural sensitivities, professional networking , exposure to best-in-class business practices to converting these into research cases and the like.
vi) Virtual Class Room & Learning Management System: IFIM extensively uses Virtual Class Room and Learning Management System. VCR helps the students to attend classes at their convenient timing. VCR records the class and registered students can login to take the sessions. LMS is used for giving assignments, quizzes, test etc. Faculty can share teaching resources, evaluate students and can also obtain feedback from students online.
vii) A 100% Placement Record: IFIM primary objective is to place every graduating student in the right company as a professional manager IFIM closely gauges the ground situation in corporate manpower requirements and tailors the courses offered to converge with it. IFIM students are placed not just in their desired sectors, but also into their desired job profiles..
