The very reputed Stanford Graduate School of Business is all set to kick start a certificate program for the innovative minds of Indian entrepreneurs. The institute will soon launch a part-time certificate program -‘Stanford Ignite’ across the globe.
With the theme of entrepreneurship and innovation, the program will target at those who do not possess a graduate business qualification. The main highlight of the program is that, Silicon Valley professionals would be a part of this endeavor, guiding prospective start-up entrepreneurs in their endeavors.
The part-time program is scheduled to be run over a period of eight weeks and will teach the budding entrepreneurs how to develop, formulate and commercialize their ideas. Participants of the program will get an opportunity to learn core business values, skills and experience by working with a team to evaluate and develop ideas into a business plan. The program fee is set at about Rs 4.5 lakh ($8,350), the online application for which will be made available from January, 2013.
To be eligible for the program, candidates should either be enrolled in masters, post-doctorate students studying non-business fields or professionals with a bachelor’s or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
In addition, Stanford has also launched online Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certificate Programme. The Stanford Center for Professional Development at the School of Engineering and the Graduate School of Business has worked a digital format to deliver the course content in a manner that actively engages with the users.
While more courses are expected to be launched in 2013, registrations are open for Marketing Innovations and Leading Innovation program. The fee for this particular program is set at about Rs 54,000 ($995).
