XIME conducted seminar on HR management during global recession

Managing human resources refers to the functions that a manager performs relative to the organization's employees. Managing human resources includes, but is not limited to planning and allocating resources, providing direction, vision, and goals, developing an environment in which employees choose motivation and contribution, supplying or asking for the metrics that tell people how successfully they are performing and offering opportunities for both formal and informal development.

Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME) conducted a two-day seminar in Bangalore on ‘Managing HR during the recent downturn: Experience of some of the best Indian companies.' Krishnakumar Natarajan, CEO and MD, MindTree Consulting inaugurated the event and highlighted his views on managing human capital and building long-term assets. K. Ramkumar, Director- HR, ICICI Bank, explained the role of pervasive leadership and how it helped the organisation to survive the economic downturn. Padmaja Alaganandhan, India Business Leader-Human Capital, Mercer Consulting India Pvt. Ltd, had some critical views at the recent economic scenario the way it’s going ahead.
