The program will be offered in 3 parts – one-third in Shanghai, Jamshedpur and Cleveland and will be taken up by faculties from all the 3 B-schools. Each school will select students for the course through their own mode of selection; Weatherhead School of Management of Case Western University would select students based on GMAT score, while XLRI will bank on XAT and School of Economics & Management of Tongji University will have its own criteria.

In future, a prestigious B-school from Brazil can be roped in to offer the program.

In the meantime, XLRI also revealed its new brand architecture and brand identity for the first time since its establishment in 1949. The new brand identity is modern and classy and highlights institute’s aim to produce responsible leaders.

The new brand identity of XLRI conveys institute’s advanced vision even as preserving the old Jesuit Heritage. The upgraded identity also symbolizes XLRI’s clear objective and direction that gives greater flexibility to the institute to develop nationally as well as globally.

The new logo was designed with the help of Water, the strategic branding & design consultancy of the DDB Mudra Group. The institute has invested around Rs 20 lakh in designing of new logo.

The new brand logo has XLRI encrypted in bold with green pointer n letter “I” with green and blue as main colours while Jamshedpur was removed from the previous logo. The new brand logo also reads out the tag line “For the Greater Good”.

The institute is also planning to include 120 extra seats in Jamshedpur by 2013 with 60 each in human resource management and business management.

XLRI is also commencing a campus at Delhi NCR with an intake capacity of 120 students. The campus will start from 2014.
